“Mercy Rule” – Kirk Cameron’s New Movie

After the release of his latest film Unstoppable, Kirk Cameron polled audiences to see what format they wanted to see his next film on. They responded with DVD and digital download, so Cameron – well known for his acting, from 80s sitcoms to Christian films like Fireproof – is skipping the theatrical premiere events that led his last two films, including Monumental: In Search of America’s National Treasure, to record-breaking success. This time, Cameron’s film is going directly to audiences. The movie’s title is Mercy Rule.

While his most recent motion pictures have been semi-documentaries that follow Cameron on very personal journeys, this feature film is a narrative film that centers in on the subject of family. The screenplay was written by N.D. Wilson, bestselling author of children’s book series 100 Cupboards and non-fiction Death By Living. The film co-stars Cameron’s wife Chelsea, as well as Bas Rutten, and (in his movie debut) comedian Tim Hawkins.

The film looks lively and engaging, check out the trailer:
