BLUE the latest documentary project from filmmaker J.D. King (Crying Wolf) premiered last night in Los Angeles, CA. This was announced via an update on the Kickstarter page for the movie’s previous title – “Axed: The End of Green”.

The update went on to state that BLUE’s release date had been set for February 24, 2014.

The title Axed was changed to BLUE back in early November, as the new name would be better able to encompass a whole movement and represent its core values.

According to the documentary’s Facebook page: “BLUE is more than a film, it’s an idea. Ideas have the power to change the way we think, begin movements, and even change the world. One of the most prominent idea of our time today is the Green Movement, which says that the Earth is threatened by the activity, even the existence, of mankind, and that the noble response is to restrict our freedom in order to save the planet. The movie BLUE challenges that idea.”

The page’s cover photo shows BLUE acting as an acronym, standing for Beautify. Liberate. Utilize. Enjoy.
